CannyScot's Day

By CannyScot

Barry Parish Church

Bright, sunny day with a light breeze.

We were out for lunch and then, on the way home, drove through the village of Barry, near Carnoustie, and saw this Parish Church. It was built, as a Free church, in 1880 and then when the United Free Church joined the Church of Scotland in 1929, it became the Parish Church. It has most unusual pointed pinnacles on top of the tower.

Thank you to everyone who expressed concern over my having gout. It has begun to ease and I should be ok for Thursday.

As for yesterday's mystery tree, it would seem to be a Hibiscus syriacus 'Oiseau Bleu' or Bluebird.
