Happy Birthday!

It was S's birthday today and the city celebrated in style this evening with a fantastic firework display. Just coincidence that it's the last day if the Festival.

We've had a pretty good day really. Started off going to see The Keeper of Lost Causes, a great film made even better by being shown in the Cameo which is probably still my favourite cinema. Then a wander through the meadows enjoying the sunshine until we found a pub where we could sit and eat outside. Almost like summer!

A long walk home but almost straight back out and up to the West End to find a good spot for the fireworks. Amazingly the weather held but the rain started almost as the last ash was falling so we hot-tailed into Mathers for a couple of beers and a final birthday toast. Cheers S, Happy Birthday!!
