Times Of My Life

Cap'n Jack and his Sidekick Sister

Today this pair had us up at 7am. The wee bandit snuck into the bedroom and climbed into bed beside me, while her brother followed about a minute later, and clambered in beside G. Both of them snuggled down, and like the fools we are, we thought we might get another half hour's kip. Then a wee girl whispered: "Granny, I want you to come and play in our room".

This picture was him showing her a wee video he had made on his camera, which had been out of batteries for ages. They had breakfast (Coco Pops and toasted muffins with peanut butter), and then we played make believe games (Superheroes would you believe?) in the livingroom for a bit.

This morning's incarnation was Cap'n Jack; captain of an intergalactic space-ship who is also a plumber. His sister was designated as first mate, and the cook! Really - perhaps sexism is innate? Anyway, she wasn't having any of that malarkey, and insisted on equal Captaincy status.

Rocky fulfilled his usual important role as the grateful recipient of all proferred dog-biscuits.

Later we went for a wee walk, then had lunch, followed by a funny-face competition with Pops, and then off to Loch Leven Country Park. It was absolutely heaving, so we didn't stay long, heading instead to their very own Burntisland Park where they each had a shot on the Bouncy Castle before we went down to the climbing frame and swings.

Home to Mummy and Daddy and pie. We won't see any of them now for about 3 weeks, as we go on holiday on Wednesday, and I will be chucking myself into canvassing etc. as soon as we get back. Mummy and Daddy are for YES too, and they also have loads of things lined up in their neck of the woods. There is so little time left and so much still to do.

When we got back to Perth we met up with G's son, and we all went out for tea. Stuart came back here afterwards, and the two of them sat in the livingroom putting the world to rights.

And now it is just me, G and Rocky, and we'll all be going to bed very soon. Night-night blip-world. See you tomorrow.
