Wet and wild

Today was largely over cast, windy and, after mid-day, wet.

Alnmouth beach for rock pooling, hundreds of hermit crabs, and island building, trying to stay dry while the sea filled the moat and then collapsed our refuge. Windy walk along the sand holding my girls hand. Picnic in the steamy car with the rain lashing down. Hot chocolate and slabs of cake in Alnwick and introducing Miss B to solitaire.
