LUNCH at the DINER

This goldfinch couple didn’t mind sharing their table with this little sparrow. The baffle we put on this feeder stopped the squirrels – for today anyway. I had blamed the fast-disappearing seed on the squirrels, but I’m surprised to see how quickly the level is going down with just the birds alone. (Needed much better lighting than this dim, rainy day allowed.)

I’m dying to get a picture of a cardinal - there are a male/female pair in the yard nearly every day. Unfortunately, they are so skittish that I think they fly off if they hear a bee sneeze! So far I haven’t had any luck getting close enough for a shot. Stay tuned...
