Food for Friday?

Being the Final Friday of chantler63's August Challenge, I just had to add my contribution to Foody Friday. Accordingly I headed home from work via Deepcut woods and went on a Fungi Forage.

It's probably still a bit early in the season as my hunt was largely Fruitless, but I found these specimens along the edge of a path. I believe the larger round one is a Common Earthball, though the top is a bit scaly, and classified inedible. The other is an Inkcap, possibly a Glistening Inkcap. Ink caps are classified from edible to poisonous. So on balance, I don't think I will be adding either of these to my dinner plate, but no doubt some woodland creatures may have a feast!
