A real TGIF feeling today.

I had a wee jaunt over to the Big City for coffee with Gerry F in Pearce's Bar, quickly followed by lunch with Nagina S in Valvona & Crolla.

All very enjoyable and relaxing. A good way to kick off the weekend.

I had to pass V&C's extensive wine selection on the way out, and guess what? I was tempted. A 2009 Teroldego Rotaliano. Completely new to me.

Then I had to decide what to eat with it (unusual approach, but not uncommon for me). I remembered I have courgettes which need to be eaten - so a nice salad and easy to make. Sausages came to mind and to hand - salsiccia piccante.

Kitchen now beckons...
