Across the great divide

This is what happens when the Planning Committee in the form of Leicester Town Council defeat the Protest Committee in the form of the supporters of the Bowstring Bridge and the Pump & Tap.
This is what is left now that the bridge has gone.
The arches to the right of the road bridge will eventually be demolished to make way for the new sports centre.
The Pump & Tap supporters have raised the funds for a plaque to be put on the new building or as near to the old pub site as possible.
