bluuuuuuuuuurrrrrghhhhhhhhhhhhh...
Overdoing it last night a little were we sir? One too many of the old SUVs turning left out of West Nicolson Street at too great a speed for their vast turning circle?
It's nice when a natural occurrence means you don't have to use a set-up which always feel a little wrong. It's a pity keep left signs aren't able to read or write and don't have email accounts; I could forward some Viagra-spam on to this one.
One always wonders upon seeing this sort of thing whether the driver even noticed that anything had happened. The driver probably wouldn't even be able to see the keep left sign over the stupidly high bonnet and probably just trundled straight over it and on their merry way. If they even heard the scraping from beneath they would probably just assume it was another cyclist or a pedestrian with particularly sharp lapels and carry on.
In other news: A quiet residential street was disrupted this evening by a shouting-fest between two pikeywifeys. No idea what they were shouting about but it quicky loudened and one of them had a couple of kids who were screaming with fear so I promptly informed the constabulary who took almost four minutes to arrive from the station a mere one hundred metres away. In the meantime a melée would have ensued had some passing youths not restrained the shoutier of the two. There was a bit of back-and-forth across the street (which seemed to be more posturing than anything else but the children were still shouting) before the police arrived, sat on the shoutier woman for a bit before bundling her into the back of a van from which shouting and thumping could be heard as it drove off.
Unfortunately I have no idea whatsoever what was going on as I couldn't understand a word either protagonist was saying. Isn't alcohol a wonderful thing?
