Robin Barclay - one a day

Cunningsburgh Show 2014

More animals, fantastic music, less zany and worse weather than the Voe show a week past Saturday. I think this is the biggest agricultural show in the Shetland summer calendar of shows and regattas, in terms of livestock entries. Some great live music - I captured some on video, with sound - an amazing girl fiddler (from Channerwick, I am told, playing with Jim Budge and others). I didn't recognize many folk, but met a few. I think we're at an age when some folk change a lot, I don't know the next generations, and there are a lot of incomers who have settled here.
The Walls show was a washout in that awful rain last Saturday - we hadn't intended to go (the kids "did" Harry's Toy Shop and the Museum in Lerwick - "rainy day stuff", the only one).
