A Very Small Kitchen

It's small but highly efficient. It is built in part of the old cantina (cellar) which once housed a giant cask of wine about five feet high. One side of the house is built into the hill so this kitchen has but one tiny, barred window. We had the outside door made of thick glass to add light. The marble comes from Cararra where Michelangelo obtained his marble.

The vast amount of wine stored in the cask was not for family use but as a product of the tenant farm carved out of a steep hillside.
