Duck March

I go to a small nearby farm to buy my eggs. In addition to several hundred free range chickens, they also have a few ducks. I've never bought or cooked with duck eggs. I actually thought I might buy some today but there were none available.

If you click on 'view larger version' you can see the little baby ducklings. When I was there last time they had just hatched and I got a little glimpse of them peeking out from underneath their mum, who was guarding them closely. They grow so fast!

In addition to the chickens and ducks there are some guinea fowl, 2 rare breed pigs (my blip from July 5th) and, bizarrely, a herd of reindeer! I will have to share a picture of them on another day.
