This is a bit of an emergency blip!

I spent much of the day sorting through paperwork - nothing much of interest to take a picture of and the weather wasn't cooperating so we only got a short walk.

This picture sits in a frame in my bedroom - it makes me smile as I often like to finish the day with my nose in a book, although more often than not, lately, I collapse into bed with no energy for reading.

This reminds me of a favourite quote:

"We read to know we are not alone."

(often misattributed to C.S. Lewis, but actually written into the screenplay 'Shadowlands', which is a biography of sorts of C.S. Lewis. The writer and so author of the quote is William Nicholson)
