like a summer's day :)

Firstly, thanks so much to everyone who commented on my self-portrait yesterday, it even made it onto the Spotlight page for a while! Totally blown away, seems it's always the days you just take one lazy shot that you get the best results :)

I knew today's shot couldn't compete with yesterday's on the "arty" scale, so I thought I'd just go for a nice colourful shot of the park. I blipped the Palm House a few weeks ago, but in totally different weather conditions. In fact, it was so grey and miserable last time that I had to put the shot into black and white!

No such problems today, the light was lovely and it really felt like summer walking to work. The building in the background is the new Library at Queen's, which cost £50 million to build. It certainly is impressive on the inside, but I'm not convinced by the architecture yet; I'm sure it'll grow on me :)
