Ripen in the basket..

..and then throw them on the compost heap. These were purchased from Lidl a week ago, and they were rock hard. Ripen in the basket it says.. We've eaten five, but had to cut rotting bits out of those. Can trim these up a bit, but one is totally gone.. Other supermarkets are just as bad. One reason why I don't buy a lot of fruit in supermarkets..

Moved the wood burning stove today, it was wet to start with and still blowing well. I've moved it further into the room, and changed the position of the chimney pipe. It now comes out the back of the stove rather than the top. It came apart reasonably well, but three of four bolts sheared off. Two came out easily in the vice, but I had to re-drill and re-tap one hole.

I've picked up the cold that's going round at the moment, N was suffering at the SCDC meeting on Tuesday, and I'm blaming him!!

Done a lot of tidying up in the shed, and had a good fire to get rid of scraps of wood. Just going out to stoke it up..
