Alpen Glow

I am so late getting this posted that it is tomorrow already. We went and picked up our son at the airport as his short visit to Las Vegas is over, he treated for dinner, and then we went back home as his car was in our garage. I snapped this of Mt. Hood from the freeway. I know, you've seen this scene before from me. Sorry about that. We visited some more, watched a little TV and then he went home and that's about all I can say about this, another hot day in the Pacific NW.

Tomorrow, if all goes according to my plan, we will meet David again for Thai food at a place that he and I want to go to. Bill is being a good sport and coming along for the ride, although I think he is a bit terrified at what he might have to eat. He's not quite as adventurous in his food preferences and doesn't do "heat" very well. This place is called Pok Pok and go ahead and Google it. It's very interesting and the owner/chef was featured with an Anthony Bourdain show that featured Chiang Mai, Thailand. I'm so looking forward to this little treat, you'd think I was actually going to Thailand. Stay tuned. I shall advise you if we end up in the ER.
