Dry outside, wet inside

Another scorcher of a day. More and more signs of fall—part of this bush is a rich chocolate brown. The building is especially attractive against the changing foliage.

MAJOR ACHIEVEMENT

No blip yesterday.
It was not easy to skip a day after 500 consecutive daily posts, but I knew I needed to be in charge of this process rather than having it be in charge of me. I had nothing I was interested in photographing, and it was w-a-y too hot to go out looking. Hence, a void in my calendar. Soon, I suspect, to be accompanied by others.
I think I deserve a red balloon. ;-)

PHOTOGRAPHY NOTE

I came across a book at the library called "Believing Is Seeing (Observations on the Mysteries of Photography)" by the documentary filmmaker Errol Morris. I've had great respect for Morris since seeing "The Thin Blue Line."

In this book Morris talks about how the intentions of the photographer influence what is portrayed; photography as propaganda; the role of captions; and other topics that are relevant to our modest efforts in Blipland. You might like to have a look.
