Darby and Joan

As I drove through High Bickington this evening after an afternoon out I saw this pair of birds pecking around at the gate of a farmyard area that led onto the main road. By the time I had parked up and walked back they had gone into one of the sheds and I had to get this blip through a hole in the hedge. It's only as I look through the photos I took that I realise they are a cockerel and hen. I thought Darby had a strange crop and was an odd shape. Doh!!
