Don't quit your day job

I tried to replace a window last night. You know the stuff comes out of that gun thingy at an alarming rate.....
First of all when I went to the store to get a new pane of glass( I broke it not the painters) they sold me the calking stuff. I got it home and Don said did you get the gun?
Nope

I knew miss fix it next door would have it! We pawed through her garage of awesomeness and pulled one out.
Here are some helpful tips to calk a window
1) you should really pop the top off before you press the bottom and it explodes all over you.
2) after it gets all over you and you try to wipe it off, make sure it's all off before you put on a pair of rubber gloves
3) which suck by the way
4) when instructions say " wipe with a sponge to clear off extra ...... That is a freaking lie.
5) don't use a sponge it yanks it all off
6) keep in the back of your mind that when you have to go back to your neighbor and ask for the gun thingy, looking sheepish helps
7) leave it alone now
8) walk away
9) just ask the painters to do it today.
10) I love the painters.
11) When you find a box to cover the window with, maybe an alcohol box was a bad idea..,.....
