Pussy Willow Time

Spring is but a few days away… At least officially anyway. The dogs and I went out very early as I had a busy day ahead of me. The day started out cloudy and dull. No good for landscape photography but the diffused light was great for some close-ups of one of my favourite spring trees… the Pussy Willow. It doesn’t seem any time at all since I was photographing Pussy Willow flowers for a blip last year. Today the flowers were bursting with pollen and there was a big fat bumble bee buzzing around. Alas he would not stay in one place long enough for me to capture him gathering pollen. I should have had a DSLR camera and macro lens with me….
