Point of Sleat

Porridge for breakfast. :0)

We went to the Point of Sleat on Sky this morning. It was a little drier…….a lot drier to start with! I aimed to just use my 100mm macro and look for small shots. Got frustrated with my tripod again! I just feel so clumsy with it! Colin told me not to use it ……. until I had the photo I wanted to take. Of course that makes sense! Gradually I found my mojo again! Mostly due to the above thistle and Colin saying there was no way I could get it in focus cause it was so windy! So, I decided to go for an arty blurred image! I didn't get what I had in my head but it re-connected me with my love!
The rain started again in ernest and I would have been happy staying and snapping away by then.
Back on the boat we all had a cuppa then headed back. I stood in the cabin beside Andy (the boatman!) the whole way! (Very, very unusual for me to stay inside!) Enjoyed chatting with him from time to time and learning a bit more about the area.

Cabin. Shower. Lunch. Then Colin gave another tutorial. Really interesting to hear what his plans are next and how he goes about it.
The cabin has warmed up now and the boot room/ bath room/ drying room was roasting!!!

A wee dram from Colin this time. 15 & 12yr.
Dinner: crab; pork in sloe gin with mash and veg; homemade lime and ginger sorbet; cheese (some homemade) with homemade biscuits; coffee. I tried some of Liz's homemade cheese - soft and creamy.
