Absolutely... stunned/gutted/unbelieving...

We were supposed to see this tonight - but this sign was up at the Theatre when we got there. A lot of people milling around looking stunned was a big give away too. Some people were really angry and shouting. There was a 'technical problem' which was potentially unsafe and not resolved and they had made the decision at about 6:30pm to cancel - we arrived at 7:10 for a 7:30 start :-(
It is hard to describe the surreal feeling of disbelief we had.

Fred booked these tickets on 5 July (it says on the receipt) because Alex is studying the Crucible for GCSE this year and because Richard Armitage (of Thorin Oakenshield/Hobbit fame) was playing John Proctor and Alex has never been to a play in London before.
We booked in at the Premier Inn at London Bridge too because the performance was to finish at 11pm after our last train would be gone and to save late night driving - so we would really enjoy ourselves...

Earlier in the day we got up to London and spent a very long time in the Imperial War museum. I was a wreck after the Holocaust exhibition - don't see it without a box of tissues. I still can't think about some of the videos without distress - really really shocking.
We then had a lovely meal in Wagamama all ready for our evening out....

After the cancellation, we hopped onto the tube, went to Leicester Square and saw 'Guardians of the Galaxy' instead - at least it was very funny - so we cheered ourselves up.

Oh, and one more thing... it RAINED all day long...
