mending

As we are off out and about tomorrow and Tuesday, I did domestic stuff today; ironing and mending.
I was pleased to fix this dress as the strap came free one evening on holiday due to the small plastic ring that supports it breaking. (Nothing to do with the good food I managed to consume!)
I obtained a vest top with the same (transparent) colour ring - for £2 - from my charity shop and cut it from the straps. I then had to unpick the straps in two places, thread the ring on and restitch the straps -voilà. A really nice dress is back in use.
