Refreshing Water

Out early this morning. Stopped at Booths Cafe for breakfast on an outdoor balcony which has great views over Penrith, then onto Mosedale where we sat by the stream playing with pebbles and cameras and tried to keep dry when large dog shook all over me repeatedly. Why is it when dogs submerge themselves in water they wait until they are right in front of you before they shake? And why is it when you find a sunny, warm, quiet spot by a stream people gravitate towards you like wasps towards a jam pot? It might sound uncharitable but why can't they find their own idyllic spot?
