Catalina

This is a WWII era patrol bomber known as the Consolidated PBY Catalina. It was a flying boat used by the Navy for patrolling the seas for hostile ships and submarines, as well as bombing and search & rescue missions.

I don't know much about aircraft, but there's a nifty Air & Space Museum right here in town that I occasionally drive past. Lots of history just sitting there waiting to be blipped.
