Shopping
When we realised we had left an entire holdall in our hire car at Malaga airport yesterday today needed to become a shopping day. Fortunately the weather played ball by chucking it down relentlessly all day.
Turned out we avoided the worst of the masses by going this morning; when we left the queues to get on to the road that would eventually lead to the car-park were Bank-Holidayish long. Very successful shop all round to provide temporary enough replacements for the currently not in our possession items (we are assured the bag will be returned....and I am an optimist). And we took the opportunity to get the kids' school shoe shopping out of the way. It's all gone a bit high-tech - foot measuring with iPads and digital tape measures. All very fancy but most importantly they had suitable shoes in both their sizes and we were all done, dusted, happy and out in under 10 minutes. Extraordinary.
The rest of the day has been spent washing and sorting and starting to put the kitchen back together. And finding all the things that don't quite work. Not too many and fingers crossed they are all sortable in some way. Oh, and moving furniture around in the living room so now it feels like we have two new rooms.
And having been to outdoor fitness camp in the pouring rain and now the right side of a hot shower I'm off to listen to the Scottish Independence debate.
