Pavement Cafe

We have finished the first leg of this cruise today in Rome (Civitavecchia Port, which is actually quite far from Rome). Lots of people are leaving the ship here and lots more coming on board this afternoon. Then on we go through the Messina Straits and up along the Croatian Coast to Venice. We have come ashore to enjoy some coffee and wi-fi time in a pretty little square and I may be tempted into some Gelato before we leave here.

Fire alarm went off at 3am. Poor Captain had to get on the ship announcement system to reassure all the passengers that a small fire had been detected below deck but quickly dealt with. At this point I was already half dressed and ready to abandon ship!
