The Three

I had several more picturesque shots, but I don't know how many times I'll have this opportunity. For the last 10 years, these three have been under our care, and most time we under theirs. Oreo and Sadie came to us as rescued sisters, and Kirby as a runaway rescue. So for 10 years, we have been a fivesome. We have opened the back doors for them to enter or exit probably a couple hundred thousand times. They have curled around our legs at night, and awakened us out of sound sleeps at 3:00 a.m. They have entertained us in the backyard at Sunriver, and in the garden at home. In spite of our prayers and wishes, we think that our days as a fivesome are fading. Sadie continues her downward slide, even while showing a voracious appetite at times. So we will enjoy what time we have left, the five of us.
