Happy 65th Big R!!!

Since Big R tore his ligament that attaches at the knee almost over one and a half years ago, he hasn't been back riding his bike. Too much time passed and he began to feel very unsure about getting back onto it. So today we brought it up...I took him to the beginning of a trail ride and met him at the end of it. He just needed some prodding and a safe place to give it a go. I think with some work on his muscles by the same guy who is helping me, he will be even more able to ride longer distances!

Here you seem the birthday guy loaded into the car, then receiving tests from our d i l, a call from our dear friend Kathleen, a call from our son, Big R getting read to go and then the he rides off.....he rode along the Sammamish slough trail that is close to where we walk the hooligans. It's a lovely trail following the slough. I met him at the end and you see him all happy on the bridge.

Then we watched a great Mariner game , went to see the movie A Hundred Foot Journey here , and topped off the day with a delicious Indian meal:)
