Picnic art fair
My friend Patty and I went to a craft fair today. picnic
Really cool stuff. We walked for over 2 and a half hours. ........with a dead fitbit on my arm. SO pissed.
So it looks like I did not do my one million steps today.
Damn
This was a very cool art fair. There were many many different and strange booths. There were a few booths with jewelry made from bones. Yup chicken bones. We are talking bones cast in silver, gold and bronze and then........there were the bones. The real ones. I did not like them.
I would not wear them
Ever
Ok I just have to get something off of my chest.
I don't understand ear gauging. Don't get me wrong I'm not being judgmental. I just don't get it. There was a pair today that stopped me in my tracks.
Now mind you , I work in a hospital. I see things everyday. I have seen tattoos ( oh I have seen tattoos) you all have heard that joke..... welcome to Jamaica have a nice day! You haven't? It's a scream!
I also have seen piercings. as in OMG you mean they can pierce that? Ouch. the gauging thing stumps me.
It makes me sound like my Nana " when you get old and those things are flapping in the breeze you will be sorry you didn't wear a bra you put those things in your ears."
Anyway there were ears stretched to mammoth proportions.
There were also two "food tents" one serving ice coffee and bottled water and one serving toasted cheese sandwiches -Brie with basil and tomatoes on whole wheat (they were sold out) and brownies. Where is a sausage pepper and onion when you need it?
The brownie did not suck.
So Patty and I stopped at a Mexican restaurant on the way home. They served cilantro with a side of taco. Oh well we can say we tried it.
Then we came home and we were
safe and sound
Can someone send me a sandwich?
Goodnight to the north and g'day to down under.....
