I was up at 5.45 this morning as I had to give Milou and Bobbie their travel sickness tablets at least an hour before we were due to leave. It was a beautiful morning so once I'd got everything ready I took them out for a walk to the beach while Alan packed the car.
I sat in the back of the car with them and for most of the journey they sat on my knee, but I'm pleased to say that they survived the 5 hour journey without being sick, although they drooled a lot. Unfortunately the traffic was awful - typical 'bank' holiday traffic and we ended up having to come off the motorway at Stoke on Trent.
We arrived at mum's at 1pm, just before Rachel and Scarlett arrived and then we went out for lunch at the Farmer's Arms. Luckily, it was sunny and warm so we were able to sit outside and the boys were really well behaved.
On the way back to mums we called at Waitrose to pick up a few bits and as we came out, Scarlett looked through the window and waved at people, saying 'bye bye'. I noticed her reflection in the glass and managed to quickly get this shot.
The boys were great with Scarlett although she was happier looking at them from a distance - she didn't like it when they came up to her. They're very gentle though, so I'm sure she'll soon get used to them.
Anyway, I'd better get off the lap top, hope you're having a good weekend!
