Accidental (?) Geyser

Very noisy commute this morning - several people having loud conversations on the phone or with each other. I listened to a very interesting podcast about a time capsule to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the declaration of war that was opened recently (Time capsule) and it almost had me in tears by the end. Some of the letters that were put into the box were very moving. Worth checking out if you have a chance.

Hectic day but managed to sit and eat my sandwich in Fitzroy Square before heading off for a short walk.

At about 4 pm, we saw this huge jet of water spring up from the building site opposite. It was huge and took them a while to get under control. The whole street has been in chaos for the last few weeks. I think they have to get everything finished before the little school starts again - you can see their playground in the picture.
