A completely unbelievable tale

I slipped over yesterday evening on some damp grass. And broke my leg in two places. With an open fracture. Told you it was unbelievable.

The ambulance came at 10:30, the doctor came with the morphine at 11, we left for hospital at midnight. I had an assortment if X-rays and then had an operation at 3am. Because of the open fracture of this insane injury, I don't get a plaster and I have a frameworks of screws and cables all round my foot instead. Oh and I high risk of infection so they want me to stay here for a week!

Clare has been wonderful with insurance companies, managing children, packing up and leaning the house. My dad has flown over to drive my car and all children home, Clare has stayed on another day to organise me. I have no real idea of very much.

So, that's today. I fearful of what on earth my journal will look like soon. I not allowed to put any weight on my foot for two months.....
