Flying South
Ok, so...the bird's actually heading north-west...and while we're heading south tomorrow, we're driving (600 miles), not flying!
...but I still think the picture, which I took at Buckie harbour this evening, says it well for me: Our summer in Scotland's coming to an end; nights are drawing in; it's turning greyer, wetter and colder; and we're heading for southern climes.
I always find it a huge wrench to leave here: this is home, and I'd swap "mild in South-East England" for "cold, grey, wet and windy in North-East Scotland" any day!!
