Today was another Sunday of Puppets, reading, chores and homework. One piece of Charlotte's homework called for her to write instructions for an activity. She decided that instead of writing about making a cup of tea, she'd rather bake a cake. We really didn't really see the point of writing the instructions 'Open box, add an egg' so we got a bit daring and made Nestle Toll House cookies (a steadfast recipe in most American homes).

While making cookies seems like a fun task, I dare anyone to attempt this project while the kid is writing instructions down, without getting some flour/egg/batter onto the homework book. Not. Easy.

But it sure was fun eating the homework - and that can't be said very often!
