Ruby's Spoon

Today, we went to the Black Country Living Museum as author Anna Lawrence Pietroni was launching her book Ruby's Spoon. I was lucky enough to receive an advance copy of this book via Twitter and really enjoyed it (review to be found here.) Anne actually contacted me about a week ago telling me she had read my review and saw my positive comments on both twitter and facebook and mentioned the launch.

The Black Country Living Museum was significant as the Black country is not only where Anne's is from and where her family still resides, but also because the book is based on the Black Country. The language used within the book is based on the Black Country also.

It was a fantastic day and I'm so glad we were able to attend.
