London Day 1

We took the Clipper to Westminster Bridge, with the intention of going on the London Eye. But the queue was ridiculously massive, so we didn't do that. Instead we had a picnic lunch and then went to playground on the South Bank. We decided to head to the museums, and walked up towards Westminster. We took some photos in Parliament Square and then realised we'd be better off walking to St James to get the tube. And that's when it started to rain. And rain.

The queue for the Natural History Museum was so long that we headed round to the Science Museum. No queue, but it was really busy. We went into the NHM about half an hour before it shut, just long enough for Orla and I to look round the volcano/earthquake section and have a photo taken with Dippy the Diplodocus. Still raining when we left. We got the tube to Embankment and ended up in Pizza Express at Charing Cross for dinner.

After dinner the rain had finally stopped, so we went to Trafalgar Square. Orla was so excited, "I remember this from last year!", and this time Conor was able to run about like crazy too. Happy memories for them, and for us.
