Blue Heron

Well I was lying on the lawn photographing the Daisies when a neighbour told me there was a blue heron up in the paddock behind my house. 60 images later with a lens that was much too small this is what I got. If only there had been a hole in the fence I would have tried to stalk but no such luck.
Will have to keep an eye out up there and try for a better image, meantime for today this will suffice.
Funeral this morning and gardening this afternoon so ready to take it easy. My neighbour came over and fixed some loose boards on my fence that he had noticed so all in all quite an achieving kind of a day.
