Footy practice on the oval

This is a back blip. The evening was very lovely and felt remarkably warm without any wind to speak on. Marvellous how the temperature climbs to 8 or 10 degrees and it feels like a balmy night that is near tropical.

I had walked down to the hospital to attend an evening clinic for a minor procedure and walking back was struck by the effect of the lights on the oval and the shouting and play of the footballers. In the town centre I noticed a woman walking with children and the laughter and talk of their group and separately a pair of teenagers hurrying along in their pretty jackets with fluffy material around the hoods of their jackets like halos catching the light.
