A bit of a deluge!

There had been a weather warning last night for our area to expect up to 75mm (3") of rain over night. It did rain but it was just steady and only 35mm in the gauge this morning.
But this morning for a short time the heaven's opened, and poured down the hills into the stream that runs nearby. Within minutes the road was flooded and the stream was over the top, it was so brown with debris from the hills.
But the rain stopped and in no time it had dropped, although part of the bank has sunk and a little bridge has been washed away.
Checked the gauge again and it read 60mm, just about what the weatherman had warned about!
