Wollumbin....
.......There are some landmarks that really provoke ones heart to skip a beat by its pure loveliness and perhaps .....its element of mystery.
Wollumbin is one of those....every time I see it my heart lifts and I instantly feel happy...and a little in love.....or a meeting with a beloved friend......which I know is a funny thing to say..but it is the best I can describe it.
I remember when I first set my eyes on Uluru ......tears started streaming down my face at the sheer magnificence of it.
I took my friend up into the hills today to the Art Gallery...when we got there it was closed....not open Monday and Tuesday....so we went and sat on the hill in the most beautiful spring sunshine....flapped our gums at how beautiful the day was and how Spring is arriving early this year....got in the car and came home for tea and more fabulous muffins that Jaiya made this morning.
The only crappy thing that happened was that my lovely big lens fell out of my bag...thank goodness I had a UV filter on it which cracked into lots of pieces ....the lens still works but the rim of it is bent so I cannot get the rim of UV filter off.....I probably wont be able to get my ND filters on......the lens cap is hard enough.
I dont find the world dull but I like this by Yeats.....
“Faeries, come take me out of this dull world,
For I would ride with you upon the wind,
Run on the top of the dishevelled tide,
And dance upon the mountains like a flame.”
― W.B. Yeats
