Life with The Pinks

Peppa Dog

Backblip:
Well last night with Peppa was hard work. She couldn't settle, there were too many new things for her to get to grips with, being tethered to one place, children running out of sight, cars on the busy road next to the site, and all the other noises and smells you get when camping. She did give in eventually, after barking for ages, and then sitting on me for reassurance. Eventually we gave up and decided to go to bed, and that's when she did too. She slept in her crate over night, quite happily, but woke up because of Master Pink playing a pinball toy he'd brought with him. I let her out of the crate, thinking that she'd potter about the tent, but she somehow managed to Houdini her way out and then couldn't get back in again! Some more barking. And a chewed through guy rope.
Eventually we went out properly and went to the Braintree discovery centre for a run around for all the children (furry and otherwise). Here, aside from trying to join in with a couple of picnics and trying to lick a feeding mum's toes, Peppa was much happier and well behaved.
After the park, we visited the shoe shop for school shoes.....ugh! And had a medicinal coffee!!!
This evening so far has been much calmer and she's dosing happily at my feet. And keeping them warm.
