Judo for Owen this morning and a credible draw in his bout with an older lad. Then to Forbidden Planet to select birthday gifts for his mate Ethan and cousin Jedi Jacob. Delightfully indifferent and surly service from the pink haired, pierced goth behind the counter.

Then some 'me time' with a visit to The Dean Gallery for the BP Portrait Award show; the David Nipo portrait 'Dark Mirror' really is stunning. Some fine young talent rising.

Nancy and Owen are awa to a Ethan's perty now, so I've got my feet up listening to the fitba' on the radio, a wee bit of interweb for the 6 Nations, a wee bit of novel reading, and I feel a hot bath coming on. Not a bad Saturday afternoon here, hope you're enjoying yours too.
