Sunday lunch!

We decided we would go for a drive, take Harvey for a walk and not more than 15 minutes into the journey and down came the rain. True it was only for short while but it became quite cold, we drove along the A 21 turned off onto the A2062 towards Lamberhurst , we parked in an overflow car park of the pub where we had our lunch! We took Harvey for a short walk in the wood beyond the c./ park, but again it was aborted as the rain came down again, poor Harvey had to be satisfied with a couple of cocktail sausages whilst we had lunch in the Brown Trout pub . We had a nice roast meal but the outing we intended was spoilt by the weather. Still Harvey and I had our 6.20 am walk in the dry!! Of course we also had the usual Sunday traffic jam , but hey ho isn't that just right for the British countryside????
