Goldrick's Block Party 2014

Woke up and took a shower.

Mom told me to eat something so I ate 2 eggs and an English muffin for breakfast.

Took my inhaler but I think I took the wrong medicine and it made my heart race. I'm supposed to take albuterol but Mom got it stuck in the other inhaler and fixed it after I had already taken the other one.

Went to Crossfit and saw Roberta, Mom's personal trainer from the gym, in the parking lot. I knew she was going to this class because Mom text her the day before. She told my mom she would drive me home. She told me this was an extra hard Workout of the Day.

When I got in we all warmed up on our own, differently from training. I took off my shoes but the instructor, David, laughed and told me I should wear them for this workout. Apparently Horatio, my basic training instructor, has a different style than the other trainers.

During warm-ups we learned how to do Kettlebell Clean and Presses. I thought we were starting the workout out-of-order (rookie mistake) so I did 39 before David realized my error and stopped me.

After warm-ups, we started the actual workout. We are given 35 minutes to complete as much of it as we can.

“THE 300 WORKOUT”
25 Pull-ups (I did a modified easier version because it was my first day)
50 Deadlifts (15 pound bar, 10 pounds on each side for me)
50 Push-ups (military style/elbows in)
50 Box Jumps (I used the second tallest box option)
50 Toes to Bar (I would probably do v-ups or something)
50 Kettlebell Clean and Presses (9 pounds in each hand)
25 Pull-ups (still modified)

I got up to the box jumps and did 20, but then I felt light headed and nauseated so I didn't finish the workout. David realized that my blood sugar was dropping (or something) and gave me a glucose tablet to bring it up. He asked if I ate breakfast and I told him yes. It helped pretty quickly but he told me no more for the day. He said I did a good job nonetheless.

Roberta finished her workout then drove me home. She is so nice.

Went inside and talked to Mom and Lauren. Stepped on Millie's poop in the backyard. Mom told me to rinse off my shoe with the hose at the side of the house but I just them off and left them outside.

Slept for a couple of hours on the couch.

Woke up still exhausted. Mom said Dad was on his way with food.

Dad showed up with a roast beef sandwich on a whole wheat roll for me. It was good but I prefer a normal roll from now on.

Played "Somewhere My Love" on my keyboard for Dad so he could see my skills (no keyboard at his house). He liked it but was a little distracted when Millie peed on him. And then when he got a phone call.

Left with Dad to see Expendables 3 at Broadway Mall. Wore flip flops because my shoes were out of commission.

Decent movie, best Expendables yet in my opinion. Ronda Rousey is an awful actress but she had good fight scenes.

Stopped by a phone repair store because Dad wanted to get my minor cracked screen fixed. The guy said it would be $250 and Dad said, "see ya."

Back to Park. Watched Doomsday Preppers for a little while.

Dad drove me to the Goldrick's Block Party (pictured), hence the name. The Goldricks are a family with quadruplets in my grade, Katie, Lizzy, Will, and Becky. Katie had just invited me earlier that day because they discussed and realized they forgot to invite me. I brought a towel, my phone, and wore a bathing suit.

Stayed for a while. Played games. Filled and threw water balloons. Ate a sandwich, cookie, some chips and guacamole, sausage and peppers, and some penne alla vodka.

Dad picked me up when I was done. Back to Park. Taylor was there.

Changed and left for Minado, the Japanese buffet restaurant I went to with Mom.

Ate an assortment of sushi and sashimi, fried rice, cake, and a crepe with strawberries, chocolate syrup, and whipped cream. Taylor and Dad really liked it, too.

Back to Park where we watched the movie Se7en. It was really good. Taylor slept through it.

Going to bed now.

Nite.

Not doing random thoughts anymore unless they come to me at the moment. I'm just gonna try to put more effort into making a quality entry.
