Size Matters
My workshop is a bit smaller than I would like, but with my larger power tools on wheels, I can juggle things around to get things done. Cynthia didn't believe me when I said that some of the other members of NCWA (Northwest Corner Woodworkers Association) had much bigger shops -- until today!
This afternoon we went to the annual club picnic at the home of one of the members, Val. His workshop was huge, well organized, and equipped with at least one of every power tool I could think of. The photo only shows the main (wood working) section. There's an adjacent metalworking shop/garage where he's restoring a 1929 Ford Model A Woody, and a storage room.
There were many examples of Val's superb workmanship visible. Cynthia was intrigued by the small wooden toys displayed in the far corner. In the fall, Val organizes work parties in his shop to make toys for the local chapter of the Toys for Tots organization. I'm looking forward to joining them.
