We start the day at 7am with coffee and hot chocolate at the Trading Post. The donkeys Quigley and Dinky watch in earnest hoping we will feed them too!

Our Wranglers this morning are Will (Atlanta, Georgia) and Brady (LA, California). The ride is over 3 hrs long, and takes us up over the hills and back down to the meadow where we meet up with everyone else for brunch. The teens have been rock climbing.

Then we split into different rides for the journey back to the ranch. The teens go first, then I set off with Wrangler Lindsay for a longer loping ride. No one else wants to do it so it's just the two of us. We are about 5 mins from the corral when I think I can hear shouts and a commotion but I can't see what's happening. Our ride takes us up into the hills again making a loop at the top and back down again. We have lots of sections where we can lope, going both uphill and downhill!!

I am tired and a bit sore by the time we get back to the Ranch. We meet Will at the island and he tells me that Uncle Andy's horse fell on him and his leg got crushed, but he is ok and is lying upstairs in bed with ice on it. I quickly put Soldier away and rush up to see him. He is sore and I think in shock. Amazingly though, he does not appear to be badly injured.

We go to the yoga class to see if it will help his sore back, and one of the guests Kate very kindly gives him her massage appointment for that day. Andy says the massage helps and that the masseuse is very good. The only thing we have to work on is his confidence now.

Tuesday night is fancy dinner, and we have drinks in the lounge room before another awesome feed. The talk is mostly about Andy's fall. Everyone who saw it felt sick and they are full of admiration for him getting up straight away and getting back on the horse. One lady gives him the rest of her wine.

No-one manages to stay up very late and we are exhausted and in bed for about 9.30pm again.
