Historical Day

We went off back to St Heliers to go to Elizabeth Castle but the wind was too high and so we had to postpone the trip and we went to Jersey Museum instead, we learnt alot but most fascinating was the biggest celtic coin hoard in Europe which they are busy working on, examining the coins as they manage to take them off and trying to maintain the soil and foliage itself around the coins to use for evidence.

After lunch in the square we went to the castle and over to the castle itself on the ferry, over in the castle we arrived and reported to the parade ground after a little wander. We saw a musket being fired and then R Sr. got enlisted. he helped light the canon that then got fired. (a proud moment)
