Give my horse a drench but spare me!
A five furlong sprint usually raises a sweat - particularly if you are
top weight on good to soft going. Nevertheless Tinshill brought home
some prize money for a respectable third place despite the handicapper
loading him with nearly a stone in weight more than the winner.
It was a warm afternoon in Newcastle and nothing a horse enjoys
more after the race is that drenching with a few well aimed buckets
of water. The lady holding the horse appears to have some doubts
over the aim of the man with the bucket !
