Tart - tat - an

Got let out of work for good behaviour today and instead attended a course in a rather lovely building on George IV Bridge. Such was the nature of the course I managed to catch up with some much-needed sleep.

We were let out early so shot up to the castle and had a look at the quality goods still being sold on the Royal Mile prior to meeting a pal for a coffee.

This weekend I have been absolved of all responsibilities other than putting my feet up. For the first time in weeks I am in Edinburgh for the whole weekend and I'm so pleased. I feel like I'm on holiday.

Maybe I'll treat myself to one of these attractive souvenir kilts.
